Bringing Back a Tradition - TCV 17 National
Category: News & Updates

The Team Colorado 17 National Team helped our club take the first step back in establishing a tradition of earning bids to the USAV Junior Nationals. This team of young women fought hard, and earned the American bid for the the Rocky Mountain Region. They had finished 9th in the USA division at both Crossroads and Big South. They lost to the eventual champion in Denver and the eventual runner-up in Atlanta. They have been knocking on the door all season and with one of their starting setters out with an ankle injury they came together as a TEAM when it mattered most. Great job ladies and we are proud of this accomplishment.

Putting TCV back on the Bid track brings up some history that I don't think most people in the Colorado Springs Volleyball community realize. Since the creation of TCV in 2011 the club has earned 6 bids to the USAV Junior National Championships. If you look at the clubs that exclusively cater to the Colorado Springs area that is double the number of bids received by next highest club and six times that of the club in third place since 2011. We have focused on building TCV back to the competitive level we expect while still maintaining that we can meet that level while being a positive influence for every athlete that enters our gym. We realize our first goal is to build strong young people, and amazingly strong young volleyball players develop when that is your focus.

Thank you to the entire TCV Family.
